Happy Merdeka Day, MERDEKA!!!! and 31st of October the day Merdeka is in full dignity pronouced, we are celebrating the 53th independence of , Malaysia... I’m so proud of you.
After all these years for ups and down we faced, unity as key to the door of harmony remains preserved as the most important asset we own that we build together for so long , and one big family it yields.
Looking at our uniqueness, a nation comprises multicultural society, we live as one despite the differences we hold on to, and for that I have a message for the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Continue your tremendous excellent jobs, our big huge trust lies in you to see Malaysia emerges towards making vision 2020 a dream-comes-true, the people and the mindset of people of this great country Malaysia will be positively shaped in line with our objective to rise as Negara Maju. Each struggle you are endeavouring right now hopefully may not dampen your spirit to retain and evolve the achievements we have possessed by far.
Once again, perhaps some of you have not seen this year Petronas Merdeka’s ad aired on local tv stations as it displays positive values in way to fix what makes us today, everything comes from our deep inside, pure and clean heart are the element to determine what type of the person we are, lets scrap off all negative perceptions toward one another.
Kekuatan sebenar kita terletak pada hati
Its seen that we are on the verge of breaking apart but rest assured we are not.
And for my late father, word fails me to describe of how proud I am of being your son, even though I was not there in times when your life is at bay to free this country from the fist of colonism, but deep down I feel you. Thanks for sharing, and that opens my eyes of what independent means to you, too precious to describe in words.
Brief descriptions of my late father:
He was born in 1932, in a small village, at the tender age of 18 or thereabouts he joined British Army as back then, Askar Wataniah and so forth were not formed and later when Malaya owns her first brigade, he emigrated to Askar Wataniah,
Therefore in the spirit of Merdeka this year, let us strengthened our bond, and stay united.
Merdeka! Merdeka! Merdeka!
Beryukur dengan keamanan yang kita kecapi hari ini!
Percayalah setiap masalah itu ada cara penyelesaian terbaik, bukan dengan bermusuhan.....

Ah-mah-zing post. I like it.
This post makes me ponder on what really makes a Malaysian a Malaysian. The food? The way we make U-turn at every possible junction? Or when we pepper every sentence with -lah? Or when we make an appointment for 10 am and conviniently show up half and hour late and the top excuse for being late to any occasion is trafic jam.

When you mentioned the word "uniqueness" I can't help but think that these are the traits that define Malaysian generally.

Sounds bad, eh? Gulp. Tak jugak, orang Malaysia sangat pemurah, rajin membantu tak kira bangsa..hormat orang tua
(we call everyone older kakak, abang, uncle and aunty) and we are willing to consume durian and petai and gladly suffer the blotting and burping incidents. Hehe.

Anyway, I think Bahasa and sports play an important role to unite us all. A voice of experience when I visited Sarawak a couple years ago.

And last but not least, as the fav granddaughter to an ex-army *winks* I FEEL you.

Tribute to Leftenan Adnan, Sarjan Hassan, your dad, my grandpa dan pejuang-pejuang yang berkorban untuk kemerdekaan negara kita. Embrace what we have and lets change for the better.Happy 53th Merdeka.
