Touch Base

How this song so much reminds me of those good old days, if only I could turn the clock around! I wish! It flashes back those amazing memories we all ever had when we were young!

And today I got to spend a day with one of my best friends, he is truly one of the kind, through thick and thin, be there when you need someone to talk to always!

The one that is to share your sadness with and a shoulder to cry on, I am blessed!

He has just returned from Amsterdam, he flies quite often as many as three times a year for work, we rarely had a chance to hang out together.

As for me, I am still here....drowning in my own illusions, fooled by the uncertainties. How nice would it be if I could at least spend a year in a land that is far away.

I find that that is the best way to detach yourself from the problems you have in life.
now we move onto something that is just out of the topic and this is how would my reaction be...

My phone is a big NO!

A quick update of I have been up to the whole week, but I have to be frank that from the way it looks, there is nothing much going on and I am planning a holiday at the end of next month!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for my leave to be approved!
Alright guys! Till then, do take care!

Arghhhhhh...I Hate This!!

I am proven to be a difficult customer at times! I could be beyond demanding when it comes to certain aspect of services rendered by banks!

When banking, what I look for the most is the security of investment and know that your hard-earned money is well taken care of!

Security in another way to put is future! Having owned a few accounts with five different banks, only one international financial institution that I will never associate with that is Standard Chartered!

This may be happening in Indonesia but it comes as no surprise that it is absolutely never an exceptional case!

Check this out : link

I put in an application online weeks before and expected a courtesy call back since that is what would any other banks normally do, well at least to inform me whether the application is successful or the other way around but that is not only the case, the bank in fact discloses through their website they will call to obtain more information related to the application.

I shall wait.....

I went to one of the branches right here in KL, as matter of fact there is exactly where the headquarter based.

Upon reaching the entrance, not only I was given a blank stare neither did the person at the counter greet or whatsoever! They treated me like some sort of an alien walks into a crowd and everyone is like dead silent!

Probably on that particular day I was not really in my best appearance! I simply came in skinny jeans and a blackhoody, sweated like hell, imagine I walked all the way down from my office but that doesn't mean you have to treat a new-to-the-bank customer in such degrading way!

You should be ashamed of yourself!

The person handed in my number, sat down waiting patiently for it to be called up! A moment later my phone rang! The call I did not expect at all, it was from another international bank called in to offer an upgrade for my card to platinum. I was beyond thrill.

I was there just to submit the supporting documents for my application, my turn was up, I walked up to the counter, again with a blank stare instead of greeting me the only word this man uttered was "yes"

What the fuck is that?

and at that time I short by a document in which I wish I could have it printed out at the branch, the EPF statement.

The machine is there!
and for some reason my IC is not readable, after several attempts I decided to not to go on.

I thought the man at counter would give me a hand or something but he finds his mobile phone is more important than his future client.

He just turned his head a few times to look at me! How nice is that?

I went back to the man, said whether I could just submit one document first to expedite my application to be processed and hand in the other later,

He said, NO YOU HAVE TO SCAN AND SUBMIT THEM ONLINE, WE WON'T ACCEPT THIS! SERIOUSLY? AFTER SPENDING HOURS HERE?

so how do you explain this?

From the moment, I knew banking with this institution would be disastrous!

Think where do you bank!

Keep Those Junks!

Remember one of the entries which I posted a couple of weeks ago titled "unveiling soon" or whatever it is!

Here's what it is all about.

In that particular post I did put in like a snippet as to give some general idea of what it should be,

DIY do it yourself, that is!

Where you can start creating amazing things and it all begins from literally scraps like bottle, paper, unclaimed wood just a few to name could be turned into something as great as these.

The candle holders, aren't they look cutie? All you need is the small unused glass cups, some cut-outs, paint and the result is taddaaa..!

But I always thought that it would have been more perfect if they were to be hanged up onto the ceiling as to look like chandelier or something.

My 2 cents.

Well, from the way they look it may seem as if it's time consuming and requires a lot of works but one and all it pays off every sweat!

Take this for instance, a table lamp that is made out of old books? Just look at the base, isn't that something! I personally love this one so much! One more way of getting your room look tidier and more unique! Who'd have thought the old shabby books could make such a lamp right?

Keep those books and make a lamp! haha...

Wood Business Card Holder

Hey gentlemen! Keep those cards orderly! It is totally made out of wood! As for this one, what all you must have is a piece of wood and some tools.
A little paint I guess!

Or check out this before-and-after wooden magazine holder!

Now you have got more space and know where to stow all those stuff away!

Lets the pictures do all the talking!

Here is a quick snippet of what my job is all about!

Impressions

+ No comment yet

When things get off the wrong foot, they will never work out the way it is supposed to be, what's more is when it comes to fixing it, takes a lot though.

Being famous is not the ultimate goal in at least my life, I am not a spotlight catcher, try to do things from your heart that is!

When you're too exclusive, trust me that nobody would even want to approach or speak with you!

Stop looking to impress! For once I'd really like to see you being who you actually are!

This seems to be more common in corporate life thesedays, many would practice it in order to step up the ladder quicker than ever!

But its getting way out of hand! What if it happens right under your nose, how would you react to something like that?

Would you just keep on being silent?

Memory

I am not quite sure myself, but everyone seems to be talking about the late director, Yasmin Ahmad be it on facebook or twitter.

So I decided to bring back the memories, I in fact dedicated a post to show that how much I am in love with every of her amazing works,  the post was created back in October 7, 2009.

She had only one clear mission in all of her creative ads that is to keep us united and embrace the differences each one of us hold,

I have a wonderful story about the late Yasmin Ahmad the person behind every inspiring commercials we see on the tv from Petronas that I want to share with you this time, the story below was extracted from
LEO BURNETT MALAYSIA's WEBSITE.
Yasmin Ahmad

Midway through a wonderful presentation to clients on the 23rd of July 2009, Yasmin said, “I don’t feel well”, then lay her head on the table, and lost consciousness until she passed away peacefully on the 25th.
At 8pm on the Tuesday night before she died, Yasmin called whoever was still working in the office to come to the Leo Burnett amphitheatre.
In the quiet of that night, she told us things beautifully prophetic. She asked those present what they want to learn from her. Naturally most people said they wanted to learn how to make good TV commercials and movies. Her answer to that? “I can’t show you how to do it. But I can point you in the right direction”.
Then she played us her Petronas Merdeka TV commercial ‘Tan Hong Ming’ (which won numerous awards including Cannes Gold) and said, “I didn’t do this commercial.”
“God did it.”
“Doesn’t matter whether you call it the Tao, Allah, or God, God is One. Be open to this Higher Power, and each one of us can be a channel.”
She explained how she had initially thought that she was done with shooting Tan Hong Ming who said his best friend is a boy who wears a songkok (a headgear often worn by Malaysian Muslims). But Tan Hong Ming kept pestering her, pulling at her baju kurungand saying strange things like “I’m a vegetarian”. So she kindly humoured the 7-year-old, putting the camera on him and asking, “Do you have a girlfriend?” And that’s when the magic just flowed.
Nothing was scripted. It was all real. It was just an innocent little child, speaking from the heart. And when Ummi Qasrina came by, her heart echoed these same pure thoughts. All the team had to do was keep the camera rolling.
One of her amazing works

“Only God can do things like that” said Yasmin.
Then Yasmin took us through another Petronas TV commercial which was not written by her, but by Ng Choo Seong. She reminded us that Nisha Khiruddin wrote one of the most loved and most insightful Petronas Chinese New Year commercials. That one of our most junior staff, a visualiser, Ken Wong Woon Kian, affectionately known as “Ayam” to her, did three TV commercials in just three years of his career with Leo Burnett. That Christie Herman, a Christian, did what’s probably the most watched Petronas TV commercial for the Hindu festival of lights, “The Boys in the Hood”. That we can go through the entire list of Petronas TV commercials, and realize that many were not written by her, but by each of us in the office. And that we can continue doing so.
One of her amazing works
“To tap in to this kind of inspiration” said Yasmin that Tuesday night, “we just need to open our hearts and humble ourselves to the One”, she repeated “doesn’t matter whether you call it The Tao, Allah or God”.
Then, Yasmin literally demonstrated how she humbles herself five times a day - on the very floor of the Leo Burnett amphitheatre - standing, bowing, kneeling, prostrating. “At every point, I become smaller, smaller and smaller” she said, “reminding myself that I am nothing.”
“And God, everything.”
On that very night, she also reminded us that “Energy cannot be destroyed. It just takes on different forms.”
She said we “should not have a guru. Because, even if one is a very good imitator, at best one will be limited to being a poor imitation of the guru.” She directed us to God, “upon Whom there are no limits.”
Yasmin didn’t leave Leo Burnett Kuala Lumpur in the lurch when she died. She handed us over to God. Upon Whom she has always counted on for inspiration. Unto Whom she has now returned.

Being Famous

+ No comment yet
I may not be as good as Huffington Post or any other famous sites you've seen or stumbled upon, but these what make me want to write though even more. I never do it for the sake of money or to be known for that matter.

I write because of these three goals:

1. To speak up my mind

2. To improve my writing skills.

3. To polish my english and vocabulary skills.

I am more of a person that care for tonnes of stuff from nature to world affairs, travel be no exceptional, you name it! and make sure anything I read online will not be politically driven articles simply because I can't. Things like that would totally drive me up the wall.

Politicians are clowns anyway, what can you expect?

We have finally come to an era in which online news are travelling much faster than any mainstream medias but I prefer not to take it literally, whatever being reported is not wholly worth reading!

Some of the articles is too good to be true sometime, they are truly one-sided stories as if the person who reported it just woke up from a wet dream the night before and decided to share it the next morning.

In many cases, however I resort to simply observing without taking it too personally, it may sometime be irritating, but I won't let it define who I am or ruin my perfect morning.

Here will not only be the platform for me to have my random rants heard but also to be a place where people can come in to learn something.

I have been wanting to share the articles I read online in here, but.....

lets figure out together.....
This is me! At long last! I never put up my pic in here ever before!
